Our facility is at 1255 Humber Place, ten minutes from Ottawa International Airport, with six loading docks and a Class A warehouse behind them. That is where the crates get designed, built and loaded, and it is where your equipment sits if it needs somewhere secure to wait.
Being local matters more than it sounds for this kind of work. It means we can come and look at a machine before quoting it, build on site when equipment cannot travel, and turn around a shipment on a schedule that a supplier three provinces away simply cannot match.

Yes. AML Crating is registered under Canada’s Controlled Goods Program, with a security-assessed crew and controlled-access storage at our Ottawa facility. Given how much of the federal defence supply chain sits in and around the city, this is regular work for us. Mention that an item is controlled when you request a quote so we plan the handling properly.
Yes. Our Class A warehouse holds crated goods until pickup, under 24/7 CCTV and controlled access. When a crate is ready we issue a notice with a unique numerical code, and it is released only against that code to you or your transport company.
Once we have the product, quantity, dimensions and packing requirements, you typically receive a quote with a timeline within 1 to 2 business days. Production time depends on the build. Being local usually means a shorter overall turnaround, because there is no transit time to and from a supplier in another city.
Yes. Export builds use heat treated, ISPM-15 stamped lumber tracked through the certification chain, marked with the IPPC stamp that customs authorities read to confirm compliance. See our export crating service.
