An Ottawa crating partner for Toronto and GTA businesses with recurring production requirements or high-value equipment to ship. Crates are built at our Ottawa facility. We assess the project and logistics before confirming whether the distance makes sense.
An Ottawa
Crating Partner
Choosing a crating supplier outside the GTA starts with a practical question: what does the project need that makes coordination with another city worthwhile?
We have one facility, at 1255 Humber Place, Ottawa, ON K1B 3W2. We do not have a Toronto branch. Ottawa and the surrounding home market remain our normal base for local work; Toronto enquiries are assessed as corridor projects.
When recurring volume justifies the distance. If your operation ships a repeat product, start with the quantity, ordering pattern and what changes between builds. Those inputs help us assess whether Ottawa-built crates can fit your production and shipping cycle. Collection and delivery arrangements belong in that discussion, not after the order is committed.

Production Runs
and Equipment
For AML, a Toronto project conversation centres on repeat production requirements, larger builds and equipment that needs a crate planned around it.
For manufacturers and OEM teams, recurring production crating starts with the product and expected repeat requirement. Describe whether the same item ships each time, whether quantities vary and which packing steps your team expects to carry out. The service pillar explains the production approach; this page helps establish the Toronto project fit.
AML is registered under the Controlled Goods Program. That is a separate core capability alongside production crating, not a blanket approval for every asset or shipment. Begin with a general enquiry and let AML assess the appropriate scope. Read about crating and Controlled Goods Program registration without sending controlled technical data through a public form.
Servers, test stations, testing equipment, drones and HVAC equipment are useful general asset categories for a first conversation. Identify the category rather than a sensitive model, application or specification. For larger equipment, see industrial equipment crating. Protection is agreed for the asset: foam lining is used only when requested, or proposed by AML and accepted by you.
An urgent one-off job needing immediate attendance may be better suited to a nearby provider. Tell us the broad requirement and timing first. We will discuss feasibility rather than assume travel or a pickup date. Our service areas page explains the wider coverage approach.
Project
Coordination
Dimensions first, then the practical handling plan. Start with nonsensitive dimensions and weight if known, approximate quantity, the broad Toronto/GTA location and the preferred timeframe. If measurements or other details are sensitive, say they need discussion rather than entering them in a public request. Detailed information follows through a suitable channel agreed with AML.
Finished crates, collection and delivery arrangements. A finished crate can travel from Ottawa to the project rather than assuming the equipment must come to the shop. Before committing, agree where packing will happen, who loads the asset, who collects the crate and which transport costs are included. Domestic shipping within Canada can be discussed, but there is no automatic Toronto collection schedule attached to an enquiry.
- Nonsensitive dimensions and weight, if known
- Finished crates can travel from Ottawa
- Loading, collection and freight agreed in the quote
Export
Packaging
If the shipment will leave Canada, distinguish the wooden packaging requirement from the export process. AML purchases already heat-treated lumber rather than treating it in house. The public ISPM-15 registration marking is CA-01303 HT. See export crating and ISPM-15 packaging and AML certifications and registration.
Loading, domestic delivery or delivery to an airport can be included only as agreed. AML can attach paperwork that the customer supplies; it does not provide customs or brokerage services. The customer or exporter remains responsible for customs, brokerage, export permits and destination requirements. A suitable crate is not a guarantee of entry or international delivery.

- Customer-supplied paperwork attached
- Loading and airport delivery as agreed
Start With
an Outline
Tell us the general product category, approximate quantity, whether the need is recurring or one-off, and the broad project location. Include nonsensitive dimensions and weight only if you know them. That gives AML a starting point for deciding whether an Ottawa-built solution is practical for your Toronto operation.
Do not send controlled, classified, export-restricted or sensitive technical information, drawings, classifications or sensitive destinations. AML will agree a suitable channel before any sensitive detail is shared.
Quote preparation typically takes 1 to 2 business days after enough project information is available. Build, packing and delivery timing are agreed separately, not guaranteed by that quote-preparation window.

No. AML builds at its Ottawa facility at 1255 Humber Place, Ottawa, ON K1B 3W2. Toronto and GTA enquiries are assessed as corridor projects, particularly larger builds and recurring production work. This is not a Toronto branch.
We can discuss recurring production requirements and whether the distance fits the job. Quantity, product consistency, packing responsibilities and collection or delivery arrangements need to be agreed. There is no fixed delivery cadence or minimum order promised on this page.
Only for larger projects where the scale justifies travel, and only after AML has assessed the equipment, site access, location and schedule. Most work is built in our Ottawa shop and supplied as a finished crate.
Those responsibilities are confirmed in the quote. A finished crate may travel from Ottawa, and domestic shipping, loading or airport delivery can be discussed as part of the scope. Do not assume collection, packing or freight is included unless the quote says so.
Send only a general enquiry with nonsensitive commercial context. Do not include controlled technical data, drawings, classifications, detailed specifications or sensitive destinations. AML will assess the enquiry and agree a suitable channel before any sensitive information is shared.
Quote preparation typically takes 1 to 2 business days after AML has enough project information. That is not a production or delivery commitment. The build and logistics schedule is agreed for the individual project.
